There is some debate whether Sweeney Todd is a fictional character or an urban legend. A barber who murdered and robbed his patrons, Todd had help disposing of his victims’ bodies from Mrs. Lovett, his partner in crime. They ground up the bodies and baked the flesh into meat pies sold at Mrs. Lovett’s Pie Shop. The grisly horror is uncovered when the remains of hundreds of victims are found in the crypt of a local church.
